HIGH VOLTAGE TEST LAB

OVERVIEW

Setup with the core objective to design and develop\upgrade technology and reliability of substation equipment through Diagnostic and Life extension techniques. State of the art High Voltage test facility for Onload Tapchanger upto 765 kv and other electrical engineering equipment.

The Centre is also involved in Research and Development of Digital substation automation systems, Power Quality improvement products, Power Electronic Capacitors, Transformer explosion prevention and fire safety, Dielectric fluid, different material.

Test facility of the Research and Development centre are accredited by Ministry of Science and Technology, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Government of India since 2012; National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) since 2015.

  • Testing of vacuum OLTC of 245 kv in presence of KEMA.
  • Testing of M type OLTC for 765 kv class application.
  • OCTC die electric test for 245 kv class.
  • PGCIL witnessed testing of S type OLTC for 400 kv class application.
  • RDSO witnessed testing of Scott connected OCTC and approved.
  • Testing of OLTC filled with Easter oil upto 400 kv class.
  • Testing of CTR make vacuum CIVT dry type OLTC at 22 and 33 kv.
