INSTANTANEOUS PF CORRECTION SYSTEM (IPFC)

OVERVIEW

Designed to correct the power factor of cyclic switched on and off types of loads which are imbalanced like Welding, metal pressing, forging, printing, cranes, magnetic loaders, induction hardening etc. Ability to deliver ultra-fast reactive current response to compensate voltage dips mainly as a power conditioner and dip compensator.

  • Maintain Power Factor above 0.95, simultaneously ensuring the difference between KWH and KVAH to ~1 %.
  • PLC controlled single CT sensing for load and to handle imbalance and Instantaneous variations
  • High speed Soft Switching arrangement to mitigate imbalance with capacity to withstand the stress occurring during high speed switching improving equipment reliability.
  • Monitors and responds immediately for any variation in load by triggering the capacitor to switch on/off within 6 milliseconds once the load on/off without affecting the life of the load.
